Standard Process is a nutritional company founded in 1929 by Dr. Royal Lee. The philosophy of the company is to provide the highest quality whole food extracts to the public through nutritionally oriented health practitioners.

The food is organically grown in Wisconsin without use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. The plants are harvested and processed by a modern manufacturing plant at the farm. Juices from plants are pressed and both water and fat-soluble nutrients are collected. Moisture is removed in low temperature, high vacuum vats. Special proprietary processes are used to make the protomorphogen and cystosol extracts of animal tissues.

Quality control is evident throughout the process and most products are tested 6 to 8 times before going into a bottle. The soil is tested yearly for nutrient and mineral levels. Bacterial contamination is tested for every plant after harvesting. Chemists test vitamin and mineral levels of every product batch to ensure they have the labeled potency. Tablets are tested for hardness, size, weight, moisture and water activity. Disintegration tests are run to be sure tablets dissolve within specified times.

The company has an ongoing research program. They have added a graduate education program working with naturopathic physicians to do research on the use of their products. Over many decades, the company has given educational seminars for the many health practitioners who use these products to support the health of their clients. The many doctors who have used these products have developed protocols they have found to be helpful in restoring normal healthy function.
